    International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking to fill the role of Integrated Protection Coordinator.

    IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people survive and rebuild their lives.


    • Lead on the overall strategic vision of the WPE and CP programme during the emergency response and the transition from emergency to recovery
    • Ensure the technical quality of all IRC WPE and CP programming
    • Provide technical and management leadership to the WPE and CP programmes in accordance with best practices and IRC policy
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment – one that encourages learning and professional growth for WPE and CP teams
    • Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management systems are in place for appropriate VAWG analysis, planning, evaluation, and advocacy
    • Design and lead on protection assessment in various locations as required to determine protection gaps and needs and inform programme development
    • Actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors
    • Responsible for the overall implementation of WPE and CP grants
    • Support implementation and ensure adherence to grant work plans, spending plans and monitoring and evaluation plans
    • Work closely and coordinate with IRC operations, finance and grant departments to ensure compliance with grant requirements
    • Support development and maintenance of effective and efficient oversight, support, quality control and reporting systems and processes
    • Ensure high-quality IRC and donor reports on activities, indicators and achievements


    • Degree or equivalent in Social Work, Health , Psychology, Social Science, or a related degree or demonstrate strong comparable work experience in relevant sector
    • Five years, minimum, of experience, including substantial management experience in VAWG/GBV programming and two years, minimum, of experience in direct service provision for survivors of sexual and domestic violence
    • Experience in child protection programing, including psychosocial support for children, and good understanding of unaccompanied and separated children’s specific needs (preferred)
    • Experience in partnership with local organisation, providing capacity building and coaching and collaborating on project design and implementation
    • Experience supervising and managing a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting
    • Experience in emergency preparedness and response
    • Demonstrated experience in capacity building and mentoring of national and international staff
    • Demonstrated experience in grant management, budgeting and proposal writing
    • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Fluency in English
    • Fluency in Arabic is a strong asset
