The United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC) has launched a call for applications for the UNAOC 2022 Fellowship Programme.

The 2022 programme is designed to provide an excellent platform to build bridges across cultures, borders and beliefs, thus contributing towards achieving the Agenda 2030.

With the theme, ‘Countering discrimination and racism: the nexus to building pluralistic and diverse societies’, UNAOC seeks to find ways to address the root causes of polarisation within and between societies.

Eligibility

  • Open to nationals of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia
  • Be born between 01 January, 1987, and 31 December, 1997
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have a solid experience in peacebuilding/conflict prevention and/or tackling discrimination and racism
  • Have knowledge of the UN and its global agenda
  • Be in possession of a passport valid at least six months beyond September 2022
  • Applicant must not have participated in any of UNAOC programmes before
