Plan International is seeking to fill the role of Project Manager.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate BRiCE project implementation in Ethiopia to offer safe and quality education for girls and boys in displacement situations in Ethiopia
  • Facilitate integrated programming in joint areas of operation with a focus on cross-learning, downward accountability, monitoring integration aspects and producing consolidated narrative reports
  • Lead the implementation of BRiCE project in collaboration with the project coordinator at Addis Ababa
  • Coordinate with finance, procurement, and logistics to access support required for project implementation

Requirements

  • BA/BSc or MA/MSc degree in Social Work, Sociology, Education, Development, or a related field
  • Eight years, minimum, of experience in management and coordination of humanitarian and development programmes/projects in Ethiopia
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in handling programme/project implemented in Gambella
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in handling programme/project dedicated to refugees
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in developing programmes/projects
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in handling humanitarian programmes/projects in a senior position
  • Four years, minimum, of experience in child protection and safeguarding programmes/projects in a senior position
  • Four years, minimum, of experience in handling programmes/projects with international NGOs
  • Three years, minimum, of experience in handling education in emergencies programs/projects
  • Three years, minimum, of experience in handling programmes/projects dedicated to both refugees and host communities
  • Two years, minimum, of experience in handling programmes/projects dedicated to the nexus humanitarian/development
  • Two years, minimum, of experience in managing programmes/projects that promote social cohesion or peaceful coexistence
  • Two years, minimum, of experience in managing programmes/projects that promote gender equality
  • Two years, minimum, of experience in managing programmes/projects that promote research
