Kali-Ku charity organisation in The Gambia has provided pupils of Madiana Nursery, Kombo North, with books, pencils, school bags, and other learning materials.
Headmaster of the school, Mustapha Danso, said the school had earlier benefitted from the organisation’s renovation of toilet facilities and kitchen in the school, as well as provision of water.
Danso, speaking at a donation ceremony, thanked Kali-Ku for responding to the school’s challenges.
He equally called on the villagers, especially parents, to enrol their children in school since the children are the future leaders.
‘We have started this partnership with Kali-Ku a few years ago but since then we have been receiving a lot of items from this Norway-based charity’, he said.
‘They also helped us by renovating and fencing our school for the security of the school, providing health care system to the school-going children and school feeding programmes’.
