The Better Future Foundation (BFF), in collaboration with the Family Federation for World Peace, has conducted an Honouring of Marriage and Family Seminar in Saclepea, Nimba County, Liberia.
The seminar, themed, ‘Restore The Family, Rebuild The Community and Renew The Nation’, was aimed at honouring and promoting the institution of marriage and family.
BFF President Augustine Arkoi said his organisation had been holding similar capacity building seminars in Montserrado, cautioning people in marital relationships to serve as good role models in raising their children to be responsible citizens.
Board Chairman of the Saclepea Joint Christian Fellowship, Rev. Wleh Cheaty Gaye, lauded the BFF and partners for what he described as a very resourceful seminar.
Rev. Gaye called on husbands and wives that have violated their respective marital vows to recommit themselves to building and promoting healthy marital relationships.
It was gathered that during the seminar, about 70 couples, including cohabiters from Saclepea and its adjacent communities, were empowered with life skills.
Chairman of the reintegrated Ivorian refugees in Saclepea, Nimba County, Serge Kalto, urged the Liberia-based ECOWAS Civil Society Advocacy organisation and its partners to continue the gesture of providing opportunities for more reintegrated refugees.
