Plan International has begun the implementation of its Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) programme in Gwoza, Borno State, Nigeria.

Disclosing this on its social media page, the organisation said that the programme will take less effort to improve numeracy and literacy skills of girls in Gwoza.

The programme, Development Diaries gathered, has so far shown measurable, exciting and promising results.

The group further said parents were excited about the process, with the girls reconnecting with learning even during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Funded by the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO), the programme is being implemented simultaneously in Gwoza, Pulka, and Dikwa with the support of Plan International, Spain, and Plan International, Finland.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.
