Action Against Hunger is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Regional Supply Chain Officer.

The organisation is a global humanitarian outfit that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger.


  • Process the procurement requests as received at the Regional office while ensuring the best performance in procurement and transparency
  • Ensure framework agreement for all the essential items procured at Horn and Eastern Africa Regional Office
  • Assess the market annually in view of updating the framework agreements and update LINK and validating what is uploaded on LINK
  • Ensure that Action against Hunger procurement procedures laid out in Kit Log are well understood and implemented as per the procedures and donor rules
  • Continuously analyse SP and PPP with follow up of economic indicators that impact the market prices (inflation rate, tax law and risk identification)
  • Monitor the quality of ordered items and services, ensure minimum standards in collaboration with the technical departments


  • Bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Certification in Procurement and Supply (KISM, CIPS, CPSM etc.)
  • Three years, minimum, of experience coordinating supply chain in humanitarian context
  • Experienced in managing country level supply chain, Regional and International Procurement and cross-border shipping
  • Good understanding of the donor rules (ECHO/USAID/DFID among other donors)
  • Good command of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Fluency in English
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, maintain and manage relationships with various stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including ability to plan for multiple contingencies and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and can easily adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
