    Apply: WFP Programme Associate

    The World Food Programme (WFP) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Programme Associate (CBT Reconciliations).

    WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.

    Responsibilities

    • Using data from the FSP, Partners, Finance and SCOPE, the Programme Associate will support the head of the Reconciliations unit to provide specialised project management support to all SCOPE/CBT related work to ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of cash transfers on a monthly basis, following WFP’s policies and procedures
    • Prepare a range of reports and data analysis to the CO Cash Working Group and Management (disbursements, withdrawals, account balances, account status, etc) and highlight trends/issues/recommendations, ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control
    • Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation, monitoring and reconciliation of ongoing SCOPE/CBT activities
    • Support the capacity building of WFP staff and cooperating partners in reconciliations of CBT activities
    • Support the Programme and monitoring and evaluation team in the resolution of complaints and operational queries related to CBT by providing accurate and well analysed information on actual disbursements, dormant accounts, etc

     

    Requirements

    • Completed secondary school education
    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology (IT), Statistics, Mathematics, Auditing, Monitoring and Evaluation or any other related discipline
    • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and French
    • Knowledge of local dialects in project areas in the Far North, East, Adamaoua, North West and South West is an advantage
    • Two years, minimum, of experience in reconciliation or investigative roles
